V for Vendetta:

"Good evening, London! Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valourous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V."

I walked past the table at the cafe in Sydney. The man said "twenty-two?" as I squeezed past. The woman replied "ahuh, twenty-two".

Did 22 SDI Researchers Really ALL Commit Suicide?

Fifty-year-old Alistair Beckham was a successful British aerospace-projects engineer. His specialty was designing computer software for sophisticated naval defense systems. Like hundreds of other British scientists, he was working on a pilot program for America's Strategic Defense Initiative--better known as Star Wars. And like at least 21 of his colleagues, he died a bizarre, violent death.

Peapell was an expert at using computers to process signals emitted by metals. His work reportedly included testing titanium for its resistance to explosives. On the night of February 22, 1987, Peapell spent an enjoyable evening out with his wife, Maureen, and their friends. When they returned home, Maureen went straight to bed, leaving Peter to put the car away. When Maureen woke up the next morning, she discovered that Peter had not come to bed.

[comment: titanium is the 22nd element. One of 22 mysterious deaths, Peapell's occurred 22/2/87.]

On February 22, i.e. 22/2, I went to the Post Office to send a thick package of papers to my friend overseas. The man behind the counter weighed it, and advised me it would cost $22 dollars to send it airmail. I sent it airmail.

At the summit of the vertebral column is the skull. The skull is of an oval shape. It is wider behind than in front. The bones it is comprised of are flattened or irregular, the only exception is the mandible. These bones are immovably jointed together. The cranium lodges and protects the brain and consists of eight bones and the skeleton of the face, fourteen: therefore there are a total of 22 bones in the skull.

Last week I was walking along the main street of Blackwood, when my eye was caught by a plaque in the wall. It's a poem written by Max Fatchen for the launching of a bookshop at that location. The bookshop is long gone, but the plaque and poem remain. I've seen it and read it before but for some reason my eye caught the date as I walked past it last week: November 16, 1982. I realised: November 16: that's today! That means the plaque was dedicated today, exactly 22 years ago! The name of the bookshop I am not sure, but one could imagine it was Blackwood Books, or BB, or 22.

I was requested to attend an important business meeting with the company I work for in LA. The date of the meeting was 22 November. It was to commence at 2pm and last for two hours. My hotel room was on the 7th floor, room 722. Departure gate for the flight home from LAX was 122. On the last day of our trip we went to Newport Beach for lunch. We parked the car by the beach. Later I noticed we had chosen the location right by one of the Beach Inspectors covered huts on the beach with large 22 on the side. We walked along the sea frontage, and noted the street corner closest to us was 22nd Street.
